SnappyApp is one of the best snapshots apps out there. Great resources, well designed, fast, cloud sync and it’s by surprise is free. Congrats Snnappy team! It’s amazing what you’ve done!
I love this app. It makes my job much easier, since 100% of the time I have to work with multiple windows and compare data. This has improved my performance quite a bit, and made easier reviewing information, having a floating window (best feature) with the information you need, while you can shuffle other several windows without affecting the snappy clip, while keeping your reference info always accessible and on top of everything else. Its wonderful! good job.
Awesome app. Development seems stalled on it. Its missing the share features which largely dont work. I also needs better markup tools which are virtually useless. A line tool and arrow tool would pretty much do the trick. I do use it all day long. Id be willing to pay for more meaningful features like a better mark up tool.
Thank you developer! This app is The BEST app! Everyday in my Mac, This app is alway working and used in every time to collect image and later integrate in one single shot!! Everybody useing this app should have to give a thanks to developer!!! Thank you so much!!! If I send email to you to give my idea for upgrade, please just look and consider my idea. Just rough idea in this moment, so It need more time to reorganize with vision & visual image! Thank you!!! Have a GOOD and Nice day! “Oppourtunity is where you find it,” not where it finds you. “Prosperity and growth come only to the business that systematically finds and exploits its potential.” ~~ Oppourtunities have to be reflected against the experience of a company and against its past successes and failures. Sometimes all that is needed to accomplish this transformation is a change in the attitude of the executives. Three questions will bring out the hidden potential of a business: - What are the restraints and limitations the make the business vulnerable? - What are the imbalances of the business? - What are we afraid of, what do we see as a threat to this business and how can we use it as an opportunity? Answer these three questins for your enterprise and move closer to optimum performance. [Managing for Results, 14 August in The Daily Drucker by Peter Drucker] JP Lee from S.Korea with Big Thank you!
One of the best apps for multi-tasking on a Mac.
I have used this thing quite a bit. It is awsome for giving lessons or just better conveying what you are trying to say. I use it along side my wacom tablet to markup images. I also like the slack integration so I can share my ideas with my team. I do think it would be awesome if they had a rectangle or circle drawing tool instead of just a brush, but I am sure that is something they will add down the road. It does seem like the team behind this is very active.
lt is very good app
I wanted an easy way to take screenshots and save them. This filled the bill perfectly and more. You can take a quick snapshot of any portion of the screen just by pressing the hotkey, and then save it (or numerous other options if desired!) from a popup menu. It’s a simple tool that does its job very very well. I would highly recommend it. Ed
As a web developer I create lots of screen shots when collaborating. I have been using Dropbox for as long as I can remember to automatically create links of my screen shots so I can share. Occasionally I found myself saving the file, opening in photoshop and circling an element or making some other note. Then I had to save that and email it. Took to much time. With a few hotkeys I can create a screen shot, write on it with a brush tool and create a sharable link in seconds.
Does not work with macOS Sierra beta. Hoping update is in the works.
8/28/16 - Very good app. This application competes with ScreenFloat but that app currently needs an update to work with MacOS Sierra Beta. To the developers of Snappy: please add some basic organizing tools, either a tag or folder system, to separate shots per project. It would also be great to have a keyboard shortcut to align all open shots in a grid view to quickly find and select the shot thats needed. Thanks.
2016-08-29 A very good and handy app BUT it sends all your snapshots on the Snappy servers. This is a major concern if you work with any sort of sensitive data. You can use a utility to block the network access but Snappy still tries to connect. My logs showed 800+ connection attempts every 10 minutes. I did write to Snappy support asking if there was any way to disable this function, but never heard back. -1 Star for bleeding data. -1 Star for not being more upfront about it. -1 Star for support poor support. Use at your own risk.
Copy and paste doesn’t seem to work in latest version
Clever functionality and interface. Use it all the time!
This app is now especially useful since it allows you to email as an attachment, not just a link. I use it often.
Absolutely essential app for all Mac power users! It’s easy to use and does everything exactly as advertised. I’ve been using it for more than a year now and its usefulness has proved itself 100 times over, and it’s ALL FOR FREE. I can’t even imagine owning a laptop without this app now.
Nice app, which does everything it’s supposed to. Couldn’t be easier to use. Love it.
Snappy has been the best pal of an app I’ve had. Used it for over 3 years now, as one of my most used apps. The updates are always just that, updates; never a letdown or downgrade, which is rare these days! I’d give Snappy 10 stars if I could.
I use both Snappy and Screenfloat. Both have they strengths and weaknesses. At one point, I was planning on deleting one but they behave extremely well together, I’ve been running both since Snappy was first released. Of the hundreds of utilities I’ve used on a Mac since 1988, these are the most often used besides “ClipMenu." All 3 are indispensable to me.
