Working!

Usability is to improve, but at least it is working! When running the application, no menu. Look at the small Snappy icon on your top bar.

A must have

So user friendly. Very useful!

Great App

It’s a great app, but needs some work on the UI.

Nichts passiert

Funktioniert nicht.

Insane update

Seriously guys, ive been using snappy for the last year on a daily basis, mainly to collaborate with my colleagues and it helps me so much!! I wonder why macs are not shipped with this pre-installed. The new feature „temporary snaps“ is so good! Reminds me of snap chat, I use it to send secure info like passwords or sometimes just silly images to my friends! Thanks guys!!! Keep up the good work…

another great update

with it’s chromeless UI this is the perfect tool for quick screen snaps. But: please please add an auto-resize to 72dpi‘ option for retina screens. This is a workflow killer when you have to resize every snap manually. My wishlist: (gets shorter with every release. yay for that) - annotation shapes (rectangle, ellipsis) - highlight/dim tool (semitranspartent fill tool or something) - option to quickly resize retina screen grabs to regular resolution

really helpful app

I really recommend using snappy. I use snappy daily and it helps me to collect and share my screenshots in the easiest way possible- via link. Whenever I find an interesting picture that I want to share with my team, I make a snap and share it directly with my colleagues - i don’t have to save it manually.

Useful

At first glance this didn’t seem all that useful, however there is the Snap Webpage Preview feature that I’ve found most useful. For that alone, the app will live in my menu bar.

Lack of features

The app is nice but it needs two essentials features to be really useful: - Annotation - Upload to FTP (host, port, username, password, path, url) And that feature would be nice: - When using FTP, allow to upload any type of file. Zip if more than one files or filetype <> image - Custom file shortener - Custom file name (original filename, random hash, filename + hash, custom + hash)

Amazing stuff

This app gets more useful every day. I use it almost daily to screen grab something that will float above all windows while I reference it. Also useful to share quick screen snippets using the new share site. Keep up the great work!

Perfect

Well thought out, beautiful app. Just what I need with screenshots. Just wish it had lines/arrows/shapes for annotating. Free hand draw is good for now though.

WOW… how did i survive without this?

This is a MUST HAVE app. Makes life so much easier!

great little app

I would like arrows and other annotation tools. screen capture shortcut would be great as well.

simple, easy tool

I’m a fan of Snappy. It make it easy to keep your screenshots organized and your desktop clear.

Must have tool

Five stars!

Very good.. but..

I have a few suggestions: * skitch-like arrows * blur selected screenshot area * screenshot tool bar always visible * 1-click sharing button in a toolbar using default sharing method.

good but...

the app is good but there is a bug very annoying: when the mac is used with two monitors, very often the app hangs and you are forced to close it via activity monitor. The bug is known (it is mentioned on the developer website), but there is no indication when it will be solved and the developers do not answer to the e-mails. So, the post sale support is absolutely not good.

Liked previous version better

…hate having to run the gauntlet of non-useful in-app purchase to get to copy command.

Uh ohhh.. something changed

Prior to this update, I was able to ‘Place snapped images into Adobe Illustrator CS5 files. Now I receive a message, “Illustrator could not read the file because plug in could not understand this file.” I’m updating my CS suite and if it still continues to not work, then I will be searching for a different app to snap screenshots. Also, menu to save file has changed quite a bit. If you want to save to your computer, save function has been put under “Snap” menu item instead of appearing in main menu. There is no longer a ‘save as…’ — choose ’save’ and this functions the same. Not a huge deal.

An invaluable tool for software development

I use SnappyApp to snap a screenshot of mocks given to me by designers. Then that snap will always be on top of every other window - the most critical feature. This lets me hop between my IDE and simulator without the mock disappearing. It doesn’t sound like a huge deal, but it saves me a ton of time. No more looking for a mock that would have otherwise been buried under other windows.
